Volcanos make you go to Zurich

The volcano made me fly to Zurich last week and take the 6 hour train ride to Salzburg. Munich would have been quicker but then I wouldnt have these photos....


I had a couple hours to kill in the Zurich Hauptbahnhof.


Side note: I love it when i see older people using Mac's. Im sure this dude has an iPhone in his pocketAt one point I was so bored on the train I tried to read what the girl in front of me's book was saying. Unfortunately, Ich kann kein Deutsch sprechen

On my way back

I had a couple super fun days in Innsbruck hanging with the crew....tomorrow im headed home. We shot a pretty rad jump in Solden today......hopefully tonight isn't too much of a doozyThanks for the photo Blotto!

6:30am...1st morning in Japan

Not a bad couple days off

After the rain came the sun....We had a couple great beach days in the Caymans. I needed a couple days away from computers, emails, etc. Its nice to be back on snow though for at least a couple more weeks.

Looking Down the Snake

Last week Snowboarder Mag set up this private shoot at Keystone called The Launch. One of the features was a snake run that ran down the side of the entire jump line. A (not so) New York State of Mind

I had a pretty cool drive last week from Southern VT to Albany NY and back. It was rad to see how old school and colonial everything still is up there. There were no strip malls or fast food or any of that crap that makes America feel cheap in many of the small towns I rolled through. I felt like Paul Revere or Ben Franklin was gonna ride by on a horse at any moment. I stopped along the way and took a couple photos.




Not being in a rush is a great thing.

A minute on Orchard

My brother showed me a city photo stitched together like this a year or two ago and ever since I wanted to try it. I didn't think it was gonna work since i couldn't stand far enough away to use a 50mm lens. Anyway, I found a spot on the Lower East Side to try it out with a little help from my friend Kelly. Japan is classic

Im sitting at the airport going through photos from my 1st trip to Japan and I gotta say, the place is impressive. The people especially. Ive never been to a place where people were so friendly and welcoming.

On the only sunny day we had while being there, we were walking through the shopping area near the Burton store and a bunch of school children walked through....I got to take a couple snaps before the teachers thought i was a creep....The hats and smiles make the shot.

Forever altered

Hockey is king

in Canada.Its common to see all foot traffic stopped if team Canada is playing on any TV nearby. This night the intersection was actually blocked due to so many hockey fans blocking the street. Even the petty cab drivers took a sec to watch the game.

The Games were a blast

Sani, Mu, and Fischi were cutting through town on their way back from the interior BC and decided to stop off for the pipe finals. Luckily they sold beer because those guys sat in the stands for about 10 hours before the day was over. Awesome crew for sure!!

While everyone else was at practice

We took the sea kayaks for a spin. Not a bad way to get your mind off the biggest contest in 4 years. Vancouver is so beautiful.

Riding in the rain

A couple days before the big event we went up to Grouse and took some nighttime rain laps. I hadn't ridden at night in years. It brought back alot of fun old days sessions. DC has way more snow than Grouse.

Late Night Flights

We had a late night flight to Chicago. Shaun just got the medal. What a week!!!

The other night Jussi, Shaun and I were on our way to dinner and we ran into Heikki and Eero. They joined us. The amount of rotations those guys have done in their life equal about infinity. While the Finns spoke Finnish, Shaun and I usually just looked at each other.
