The 1st step towards the Olympics started today. The riding was retarded. It really awesome to watch something progress this quickly.After 85 riders Vito stepped up and threw down an amazing run. Seriously, so heavy.

Drew and I made another trip to Barcelona last week. It was a good time and we got to skate some really good spots as expected...These photos were shot in an area of town called The ForumI wanted to take this photo last year but there were way to many people around. A while back Brad told me about this awesome idea for a skit he thought of while watching a Japanese cartoon. We had a day off in Tahoe during the B shoot and we got a chance to shoot it. Shaun was not supposed to get drenched this hard. The firefighers misfired..It was hilarious

Meetings are fun

when you get to hang with these dudes.We had our team meetings this week in Burlington. Had a great time and got some good stuff done. It was great to get together with the dudes and dudettes.Cyril maybe even got some emails done, maybe.

NZ farm girls

We ran into some rad farm girls that gave us a ride on their little 4 wheeler contraption. Its apparently called. "Sack Sliding", which in Kiwi translates to "Sex Sliding"...The accent gets you every time. Luckily there were no rocks in this field.

The Day of Days

On our last full day in New Zealand and around 4pm Bud asked us, "Hey, do you guys wanna go out to my friends place, have dinner, and ride around on dirtbikes?"....we were kinda tired from snowboarding earlier in the day and actually thought twice about going. Were we freakin crazy?????Those guys were already out and about so we had to jump on the little bikes to go out and meet em.
Once we got out there we all got our own bikes to cruise around on...Greg showed us an amazing time....This field was full of 1 year old sheep....chasing sheep on dirtbikes is damn fun.

After chasing sheep for 20 min we came to another field where these 3 awesome country girls were towing each other around on this sac thing with a 4 wheeler....We all had to try it...It was retardly fun....almost like tubing behind a wakeboard boat.
We then road out to the edge of Lake Wanaka to check out the sunset and take a group photo of the day...This is my favorite shot of the day. Bud must have been freezingThanks to Greg,Nancy, and Benji for an amazing day.

Side note: Summer in Finland is crazy. Its very common to see people walking around with plastic bags of beer. Id say 25% of the people on the street are carrying bags of beers. Here is a photo of what happens when there is too much beer in that bag. This is directly in front of the train station.

The Two Nine Blog_ Year 16

Once again July 29th turned out as amazing as ever. This is the 16th year in a row. Its come along way from Nick, Richard, Finn, Marty (whoever the hell that is),, and Art's Place (npi). Thanks to Tyler and Tony for making it happen once again.Two Nine this year freakin ruled. The skateboarding came back to life and the drinking took a back seat. Tyler was claiming fakie 5-0 the night before. Didnt seem like to much of a problem for this old bastard.

After the game of skate was over Art claimed the title. Its a big deal to win two nine game of skate considering 2 "official" pro skateboarders were in attendence and at least 3 others who could easily be pro at any moment. Arts damn old and totally deserved the win. The title remains in Virginia for another year.
Tony smashed him with a cupcake in celebration. Gluten free of course.

Best Video Ive Seen in a While

July 4th

By far the best American holiday. This year was no different. Skating, Beers, and to end the night an ice luge, I dont recommend ending the night with an ice luge. EVERSince Devin got so hurt skateboarding the night before everyone poured beers on the ground for him, like he actually died

Devins Day at the Doctor

Warning: This is why you dont bomb hills on skateboards after drinking. Especially hills that have a 90 degree turn at the bottom and especially hills that you wouldn't bomb in the middle of the day because they are too steep.Ive never seen one of my friends die in front of me Thank God. However, I witnessed Devin die this night and then somehow come back to life. His head bounced off the ground a good 2ft. Like a basketball. I almost puked. I ran down to hill up to him and he was 100% knocked out with his eyes open. He stayed like this for 40secs....I was freaking out, seriously loosing it.

We called the DC ambulance and them came pretty quick.
Devin was pretty out of it during this whole process but once he flicked me off I knew he was gonna be just fine......later in the evening he ripped the IV out of his arm and blew a .17. He then proceded to leave the hosipital after pissing off all the nurses....Man, I love you DevChild. Lets not do this again.

Snake Charmer

Rory, Peter, Devchild and I were walking to a Nationals game when we met this girl walking down the streets of the ghetto with a big ole snake around her neck...Instantly Rory was her best friend and wanted a photo with her.

After the 1st photo, everyone for some reason wanted to compare their snake tattoos to the actual snake...HA

Summer in DC

Lucky for us, the best skate spot on the east coast is in DC. LOVE park used to be the best but from what i hear its pretty much shut down for skating these days......Freedom Plaza takes the cake.....Its amazing....And lately the cops havent been showing up to kick everyone out. There has been some really good sessions lately.

Utah Lake

Here are some shots from the Utah Lake film session the other day. Jeremy is freakin nuts.I wish this photo showed how fast he was going. Or the giant snake that i almost stepped on while shooting it. Or me freaking out when Brad threw a stick at my leg and I thought it was the giant snake i saw.

We came up with some interesting camera mounts for this trip. If Jeremy leaned right it wouldnt have been very good for the camera.
Im pretty sure i shot this photo while driving, through the windshield. If you look closely you can see the beautiful town of Provo in the distance;)
