Today ended up being a really nice and deep powder day at Brighton. A bunch of the European Burton guys are in town shooting photos with Justin LHeureux so i teamed up with them and filmed some fun web stuff...The Burton crew consisted of Sani Alibabic, Stephan Mauer and Marko Grillc....our friends Drew Fuller and Jason Leggee joined us as well...Things went good at the mountain and we got home pretty tired. Sani and I had talked about skating all day so we decided to go to the skatepark around the corner from my house. Joe Mertes came with as well. I brought the G10 and grabbed a couple photos. Sani skates tranny really well.
Sani got a couple photos real quick.I gave Sani the camera and he grabbed a quick shot of me ollieing the sun.Joe was doing sweet fs feebles on the spine.Sani ended the session with a nice bs lip on the kinked extension. All in all such a good session.

On the way back from Silverton the other day i spotted some trucks.A truck and a tractor
A junkyard of old trucks I want.
And, a little girl who wished mommy would get back so they could start dirtbiking.

Extracirricular Activities
We had a couple down days on this last trip so we all decided to go down to the local family fun center, The Pride of the West (POW). Its a local bar/restaurant that has plenty of fun things to do in the middle of the day.
Roger White, Shauns Dad joined us for some of the activities.
At the POW, kids just hang out and watch the adults do what adults do.
Like, ride each other down the stairs. Jimmy Fay, just offered to let Tim ride him down the stairs. The video shot is amazing.
After watching adults ride each other down the stairs the children like to enjoy a nice frosty beer with them at the bar. Root Beer that is.At one point someone told Adam and I to look mad. This was a hard task considering we were at the POW
The night ended with Sharon dancing with the bear. When i say night i mean 430pm. Yes, the children witnessed this too. At least it was only 430pm when we left because.......If you get loose at the POW its gonna for sure be sunny the next day. Which worked out perfectly for Shaun. Who ended up getting the shot once again.

Big in Colorado
We headed back to Colorado for another Burton shoot last week...We arrived in town in a blizzard. We took a few photos and filmed some shots and got to bed...this trip was to be a little different..I cant say too much about it other than the only rider here is Shaun White but its been a really good time and some serious moves have been put down...Burton Cinematograper Tim Manning is with me as well...along with Burton Photographer Adam Moran, Red Bull's Sean Aaron, Joe Previch and a few other new friends.
Day 1 involved planning and riding super deep powder. Shaun hadnt arrived yet. So Sean Aaron and I shuttled these lines sooo many times....Sean gets loose.
Tim has a new camera he's stoked on. Its anything but small.
This is the 1st trip ive been on with Shaun...Its a little different than working with other big timers. So much media follows him all the time. Someone is asking him for something all day long it seems. He handles it really well and seriously throws down.
Day 2 Tim and I got a heli ride to shoot a few senic shots. So fun! Hopefully tomorrow we can ride a few lines.Red Bull has been really good to us this trip. Thanks.

Its Official, We Made the Paper and the News
Ive been so excited to write a blog about this because of the 15 ways this story is hilarious. Basically. We found a spot in St Paul, MN. We set it up the day before cause there was no light on the landing when we found it. After setting it up, the absolutely Crazy Neighbor #1 walked up to our van and began looking in the windows. He was like Citizens on Patrol, from Police Academy 5. This guys wanted to be a hero soooooooo bad. Almost as bad as Crazy Neighbor #2.
I'll tell the story as i see it, quick version and then i recommend reading the entire newspaper article which was taken out of the main newspaper in Minneapolis/St Paul. He we go. After getting the spot set up the following day it was pretty much just show up and get filming. As we began filming crazy neighbor #1 walks up to me, who happened to be shooting the top angle, near the sidewalk and starts taking photos of me. I of course asked him what he was doing. He made up some lie. I later find out hes some sort of volunteer nerd that the police say is constantly involved in city affairs. Sounds like hes bored.
Next comes Crazy Neighbor #2. Who walks up to me and starts our conversation by saying. "You cant film my building!", I thought she was kidding, be sarcastic, and i reply" you're kidding me right"...I guess her building is the white one in the background. She immediately starts going off about how we don't have a film permit and all this crap. She starts quoting Darwin and tells us how uneducated we are. This is all while Cale is ready to get his shot...after a little while of her blabbing Cale, Keegan, and I start to get a little annoyed and tell her and her accesory dog (with shoes on) to beat it. Anyway, she ended up calling the cops of course.
As for the Crazy Neighbor #1, he calls the newspaper and gets interviewed and a couple days later the story ends up on the front page of the Minnesota section. We happen to be eating in Einstiens when someone notices this. I guess there was a story on the news about this. Seems like Crazy Neighbor #1 is a little "fame" hungry. Im sure he will frame the story and hang in on the mantle.Side note: I love how the article of us getting busted for snowboarding sits right next to the story of some Asian murderer.
If you click on these they get large enough to read. Here are a couple of my favorite quotes from the storyHAHAHA, WHAT???? He obviously made this up out of thin air...."their idols?" HuhThe man was worried about our saftey. More like the man wanted some excitement in his life and had nothing better to do.My favorite quote. "It was almost like a movie crew"....HAHA...
The story gets better. When the police arrive we notice that the officers last name is Burton. Small World. He was stoked we worked for his fav snowboard company. The cops brother actually plays soccer for Arsenal or the premier league.
Officer Burton and his partner were actually pretty cool and seemed a little bummed they had to give us tickets for having fun. We decided to take a nice little photo with the officers. The funny part about his is how no one seems to care that we just got tickets. We all realized how dumb this was....also. Crazy Neighbor #1 and #2 stood there for at least 2 hours while the cops sorted out all of this stuff....they must have been freezing and a little bummed to know that no one on our crew had their day ruined like they intended. They are actually in the background to this photo looking less than happy.
After getting all packed up the officers asked if we could send them a copy of the group photo. We gladly obliged. Sorry Crazy Neighbors #1 and #2. You dont get a copy of the photo.
After hearing about this. Brad Kremer, our boss decided to contact the lady that wrote the story and offer a rebuttal. She published it the following day.Oh yea, we also made the other main paper in MSP_

State of the Art
The 1st computer other than a calculator our family purchased was an Apple IIGS. This is was as good as it gets at that point. No computer our there could play Oregon Trail and Lode Runner faster that this baby. Now we have phones that our 50 times the speed......I was in a computer store the other day and they had a bunch of old macs in there....How things have changed....Look at how basic is on/off switch is. Its amazing. I think Mac needs to make a vintage edition of the new MacPro. Complete with this on/off switch and a contrast dial.

The Photo Safe
Todd, Lance and a couple other new friends were awesome enough to give Brad and I a thorough tour of Burton the other day. My favorite part was this photo archive section of the art department. This section contained 2 massive safes sitting side by side. All the slides and digital photos from the past however many years are kept in here. I hear they have a very organized system of archival in there. Anyway, Lance opened one slide book and 1st thing we see is a photo of Terje. I had to get photo....Thanks for the tour guys.
